Embodied Spiritual Practice Lab

Saturday, January 12, 2019 • 6 Shevat 5779

10:00 AM - 12:30 PMOr Shalom

Sometimes the soul speaks through words.  Sometimes through music.  Sometimes through tears and laughter.

Movement is also one language of the soul.

Bring your body into Jewish spiritual life and Jewish spirituality into your body during this 2 hour workshop led by Or Shalom member Gail Gurewitz, Rabbi Katie and David. Using themes from liturgy and Torah, we will co-create an experience that integrates practice from the worlds of Jewish prayer, yoga and dance.  Followed by a light Kiddush.

On the day:  Come a little early to schmooze - we will start promptly.  Wear comfortable clothing.  If you have them please bring: yoga mats and props, a large towel, meditation cushion.

More about Gail: Gail Rosenheim Gurewitz is a lifelong explorer and practitioner of embodied spiritual practice. She is a longtime member of Or Shalom, where her 3 (now young adult) children became B'nai Mitzvah. A former professional ballet dancer, Gail teaches yoga, dance / creative movement and meditation in SF.
