Cat Zavis, the Executive Director of the Network of Spiritual Progressives (NSP), has been the rabbinic intern at Beyt Tikkun Synagogue-Without-Walls for the past 3 years, and will be ordained as a rabbi through the Aleph: Alliance for Jewish Renewal program in January 2023. She is also an attorney, mediator and trainer in conflict resolution and empathic communication.

She comes with a wide array of life experience, a passion for social justice, and a progressive worldview that we feel could make her a wonderful leader for Or Shalom during this transitional period. As she states in her cover letter: "I would be honored to bring my passions for Jewish rituals, social action, empathic connection, and community building" to the Or Shalom community.
