Teen Havurah (Grades 8-12) -- Wednesdays 5-7PM

After graduating from 7th grade, post- B’nai Mitzvah students meet three times a month to socialize, study, engage, and stay connected to the community.  Important teen issues are explored through a Jewish lens, keeping Judaism alive and relevant to our students’ lives. The program includes guest speakers, films, field trips, and two over night retreats.  Our Teen Board is active in our community and helps bridge the students’ interests with the curriculum offered by the teachers.   A yearly Teen Cabaret gives the teens a chance to share their talents and learning with the community. The teens are involved in community service, and are role models to the younger students at our school. Another component of this program is Madrichim training, where students learn about topics designed to help them become TAs in the Or Shalom school program.
