Recurring activities include:
Tanakh Study Group meets twice a month on Sunday mornings. The group is currently reading biblical texts beyond the Torah, such as Judges and Isaiah.
News Minyan discussions bring the wisdom of Jewish texts and traditions to bear on contemporary issues and events. Conceived as Torah study in reverse, the group starts in the present, using contemplative deep listening practice, and works backward to our ancient texts.
Considering God Salon gathers for intimate conversation about our relationship with the divine, whether or not we believe in God, and our spiritual practices within or outside of Jewish tradition.
Book Group meets monthly over dinner to discuss books of Jewish interest.
Golden Thursdays: Lunch & Learn: A project of the Southside Jewish Collaborative, 3rd Thursday of every month, designed for people with flexible schedules who would like to come to the synagogue for a bite, learn with the Rabbis and socialize. The sessions are led by Rabbis Gottlieb, Melamut, Mizrahi and Levin, and rotate among the three locations: Brotherhood Way (BIJ & Or Shalom), B'nai Emunah, and Ner Tamid. A light lunch is provided.
